Early Morning (on the track)
Early in the morning you may see a silhouette through the haze and silver lighting of a race track sloppy wet A silhouette of horse and rider as they find their way along Poetry in motion and as pretty as a song may best express the dance of a thoroughbred in training While it is early and serene Obvious by it's absence is the sound of horses working For we hear no hoof beats pounding No rider's hearty shouts even No squeaks of leather as this ghostly scene unfolds and a thousand stories are developing that someday will be told.
