"Sunday Silence" and "Swaps" Authors To Sign Books at Santa AnitaLexington, KY (April 1, 2002) Ray Paulick and Barry Irwin, authors of Sunday Silence and Swaps, respectively, will sign copies of their books from 10:30am-11:30am, at the Champions! Gift Shop at Santa Anita Park on Saturday, April 6, 2002, the day of the Santa Anita Derby. Both Swaps and Sunday Silence won the Santa Anita and Kentucky Derby, Swaps in 1955 and Sunday Silence in 1989. Mr. Paulick is the executive vice president and editorial director of The Blood-Horse, Inc., and editor-in-chief of the company's flagship magazine, the leading weekly publication designed for Thoroughbred owners and breeders. Mr. Irwin is a former racing journalist and current president of Team Valor, which organizes racing partnerships. A native of California, Mr. Irwin wrote for The Blood-Horse, Thoroughbred of California, and Daily Racing Form, among other publications. He also scripted film projects and hosted radio and television programs.
