BLOOD-HORSE PUBLICATIONS WIN PRESTIGIOUS PRINTING AWARDS
LEXINGTON, KY-- Keeneland magazine and the Kentucky Derby Souvenir Magazine, published by The Blood-Horse, Inc., have been chosen as "Award of Excellence" Award winners by the Printing Industry Association of the South. The PIAS Awards were presented to The Blood-Horse, Inc. and to Publishers Printing Company at the Printing Industry Association of the South's 27th Annual Convention in Destin, Florida. In addition to the "Award of Excellence," Keeneland magazine also garnered a "Best of Category" Award.
The PIAS Graphic Awards competition is designed to recognize and appropriately honor those responsible for the creation, design, and production of top quality printed materials; those which have impact, appeal and are effective as marketing, communications, or educational tools.
"Keeneland magazine is a relative newcomer, so winning these awards reaffirms that we are on the right track," said Jacqueline Duke, Editor of Keeneland. "We have a great team of artists, photographers, and writers who help make both publications special. We are honored to receive these distinguished awards."
Keeneland provides in-depth coverage of the legendary Keeneland Racecourse and horse sales, and the Keeneland and Bluegrass "lifestyle." The Kentucky Derby Souvenir Magazine is the official souvenir magazine of the famed Kentucky Derby.
The Blood-Horse, Inc., publishers since 1916, also publish The Blood-Horse, the oldest continually published North American Thoroughbred magazine; The Horse, a monthly magazine devoted to equine health care; TBH MarketWatch, a twice-monthly newsletter for Thoroughbred investors; Equine Images, an equine art magazine; and the official World Thoroughbred Championship/Breeders' Cup souvenir magazines.
